Lesson Plan Grade 4th - Science (Ears) RPP Bilingual

SUBJECT      : SCIENCE
GRADE         : IV (Four)
SEMESTER  : 1 (One)
TOPIC           : HUMAN SENSE (Ears)
DURATION  : 2 x 30 (31st January 2019)
A.  CORE COMPETENCE
1.      Understanding the relationship of human body organs with their functions, and ways to keep them healthy.
B.  BASIC COMPETENCE
1.      Describing the relationship of sense structures with their functions.
2.      Applying ways to keep our sense healthy.
C.  INDICATORS
1.    Mentioning parts of ears.
2.    Classification parts of ears base on the function and position.
3.    Explaining function of each part of ears.
4.    Explaining the process of hearing.
5.    Explaining ears disorder.
D.  LEARNING OBJECTIVES
1.    The student is able to mention all of parts of ears correctly through watching a short movie and explanation from the teacher.
2.    The student is able to classify the parts of ears by playing a game
3.    The student is able to explain the function of each part of ears through class discussion.
4.    The student is to explain the process of hearing through experiment and group discussion.
5.    The student is able to explain ears disorder through power point on the slide
E.  LEARNING ACTIVITIES
1.  OPENING (10 minutes
-  The teacher greets the students.
-  The teacher checks the students’ attendance, class’ condition,  and ensures all students wear the right uniform. 
-  The teacher tells the rules along learning process. Each student has to raise hand before interupting and be confident in doing the experiment in the class.  The teacher ensures that all students obey the rules.
-  The teacher asks students to sing a song to get students interest in class
-  The teacher asks the students about the topic and teacher asks what would happen if they close their ears.
-  Then, the teacher asks the students, “What would happen if there were no ears in our body?”.  The students try to answer it. The teacher concludes students’ answer by mentioning the use of ears as one of human senses
-  Finally, the teacher tells the students about topic that they are going to learn.
2.  MAIN ACTIVITY (30 minutes)
-  The teacher invites students to play a game.
-  The teacher asks students to close their eyes.
-   The teacher make a sound and students have to guess where is the teacher.
-  One of the students explain why they can guess the teacher position with closed eyes.
-  Teacher tell students that they will learn the other part of ears and its function.
- Teacher shows picture anatomy of ears from power point slide.
- Teacher asks questions based on the picture.
- Teacher explains and lead discussion about part of ears and function.
- Teacher lead students to do the experiment of process of hearing.
- Students do the experiment in group and discuss about the result.   
-  The teacher asks  students to present the experiment result, the other students give comments.
-  Students see a video on PPT about the prosses of hearing.
-  Teacher leads discussion about ears disorder and how to take of ears.
3.  CLOSING (20 minutes)
-  Teacher and students review the learning materials for today
-  Teacher gives an evaluation
-  The students submit the worksheets to the teacher.
-  Teacher gives a chance to student to ask about the learning materials that they still don’t understand.
-  Teacher gives compliments to student about what they have achieved
-  The teacher tells students about homework.
-  Teacher ends the lesson today
